During this project I struggled with time management, and last minute change. I struggled with time management right up to the last week of the project when I joined with Maya, and Brianna. I leave that the presser of trying to show/ impress other group members gave me the pressure to sit down and work out exactly what I needed to do and when. I also struggled with last unit changes. Because of my motivation decreasing thought the project I would make major changes to try to boost my enthusiasm. I later released that this just set me back, and set me up for failure in the future.
I found through this project that pursuing something I love will benefit me. Thought school I have been assigned many projects that I dislike greatly. I started to believe that I just didn't like work. I thought that life consisted of being lost around to do something that you didn't want to do, or didn't enjoy doing. Through this project I learned that this is not the case, that you could have fun working. You just have to pick something you enjoy. I think that every school should pursue this project. I leave that the 20% project is rewording and an eventual part of learning for high school students. I believe this because through this project you learn about yourself greatly, swell as learn that school ( Popsicle stick projects and busy work) is not what we should be preparing for we should be learning skill like time management on our own, because in when we have a job our boss will not just give us warnings when were off task. If we don't complete the project that we are given then we get fired. I also think this project is essential for students to have a slims of what the would like to do after high school.

Since the last blog post I have accomplished a lot. My group and myself have interviewed people downtown, which is not easy. We also went to smelter to with Kennan to film us doing yoga. I than incorporated this into our video. Maya and Brianna then created a script to put to the video, we recorded this and then I edited the video footage and audio recordings of interviews and script. We have also been working on emailing the campsite, transportation for our camping trip. Overall our project is coming together finally, and i'm really excited.
The major challenges I have faced are getting ahold of the camping, and transporting people. Because they have jobs and this is not their main focus its hard to get a ton done. I have also struggled with making the video because of how the audio of the video footage was recorded its hard to make them clear and loud with minimal background noise. I have learned a lot. I have learned about yoga, communication, and working with groups. I have learned yoga from Maya, she leaded us through a routine. I thought this was really cool and helped her practice her leadership skills for the camping trip. Communication with other people is hard, I have learned more how to word emails professionally with clarity, as well as word them so we have minimal emails as possible. Working with groups has always been one of my weaknesses, this is one of the reasons I thought it would be good to combine projects with Brianna, and Maya. through this project I have learned more how to effectively work with other people. There have been a lot of changes in the past few days in my project. I have learned a lot from these changes, one being that accomplish a project on your own is much harder than you could expect. After talking with my peers I have discovered that they had the same struggles. When we realized this we decided that putting our projects together would benefit us and the people that the project is made for greatly. We then we grouped up we obviously had to learn about each other's projects as in depth as possible.
Since my last update I have accomplished alot. I have gotten ahold of Navajo lake in order to make reservations. I have also grouped with Maya and Brianna and connected all our project in a realistic way that makes use more excited to finish the remainder of the project. I am running into struggles because of the major changes we have made to our project, but I am confident that this will work out in the end. |
