Avalanche Safety
Snow science is relevant to me in my life in many ways. One being that in the future I would like to learn how to back country ski, this project helped me get the knowledge so that i can do so in a safe manner. This project has also helped me understand why we haven't head great ski weather the past few years, due to globule worming, el nino, el nina.
I understand the hoe important the role of snow and water play in the American west. If it wasn't for the snowy winters and rainy days. The American west would be really hard to live in. We would have to ship water from further away in order for us to be able to take showers and drink clean water. The skills I have developed through the materials we learned during this I bleve will benefit me and my society for the future. The biggest skill is not something to be taught, but very drop of clean water counts and in the American west water is like gold so treat it that way. I also learned how important it is to do a lot of planing and research before you go out and backcountry ski because along with the fun there is a lot of danger. |
